Kerala's Harvest Homecoming
Onam Celebrations 2026 mark the temple's observance of Kerala's most beloved harvest festival, commemorating the annual homecoming of the beloved King Mahabali. This year's celebrations run August 26 – 30, 2026.
According to tradition, Onam celebrates the yearly return of King Mahabali, a ruler so cherished by his people that Lord Vishnu, in his Vamana avatar, granted him a yearly visit to the land and people he loved. Devotees mark the occasion with a traditional Onam Sadhya, floral pookalam designs, and cultural programs celebrating the spirit of togetherness, gratitude, and prosperity that defines the festival.
The temple's Onam celebrations bring the community together to honor this cherished Malayali tradition with prayers, festivities, and shared feasting.
