Sama Veda Upakarma 2026

Sri Ganesha Temple Plano invites devotees to participate in Sama Upakarma 2026 on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 7:00 AM.

Sama Upakarma is an important annual Vedic observance associated with the renewal of spiritual study and sacred commitments. Devotees are requested to complete their morning Sandhya Vandanam before the Upakarma session begins. All unmarried Brahmacharis should also perform Samidadhanam in addition to the morning Sandhya Vandanam.

• Thalai Aavani Avittam — First Upakarma: $51

Items to Bring:

Panchapatram, Uddharani, plate, Vibhooti, Chandanam, a small quantity of turmeric powder, Kumkumam, and a handful of rice mixed with black sesame seeds for Tharpanam.

Those performing their first Upakarma should also bring fruits, betel leaves, and nuts and attend the appropriate session.
