Sri Varalakshmi Vratham 2026

Sri Varalakshmi Vratham is one of the most sacred observances dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi, the Divine Mother who blesses devotees with health, prosperity, family harmony, happiness, and spiritual abundance. Observed on the Friday preceding the full moon (Pournami) during the holy month of Shravana, this Vratham is especially cherished by women who pray for the well-being of their families, the longevity of their spouses, and the prosperity of future generations. According to Hindu tradition, worshipping Goddess Varalakshmi is believed to bestow the blessings of the Ashta Lakshmis, the eight divine forms of wealth, courage, knowledge, success, fertility, victory, nourishment, and abundance.

Sri Ganesha Temple warmly invites devotees to participate in this year's Samuhika Sri Varalakshmi Vratham on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 6:45 PM. The ceremony includes Sankalpam, Aavahanam of Sri Varalakshmi, Sodasha Upachara Puja, Sri Lalitha Sahasranama Parayanam, Mahishasura Mardhini Stotram, Devi Namaskaram, and Deeparadhana, performed under the guidance of our temple priests. Participating in this collective worship is believed to invoke the compassionate blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi for prosperity, family well-being, good health, marital harmony, and spiritual growth. Advance registration is required, and devotees are welcome to bring flowers, fruits, and coconuts as offerings for the Puja.
